During the Venice Music Biennale, next 1st October (2000), at the Teatro Piccolo Arsenale, the Divertimento Ensemble conducted by Sandro Gorli will perform "Reflejo Espiral" for flute and percussion. As this mexican composer writes, "Reflejo Espiral, for flute and percussion (commissioned by the "Divertimento Ensemble" for the Venice Biennale) is one of my shortest works, where the form -ever characterised by relations between pulsation, metric modulation and formal proportions, which much fascinate me- is inspired by the changes that the image of an object goes trhough when it is reflected trhough stable or changing surfaces which deform its visual aspect, which in reality is impossible. The sound images represent the transition of objects and images, whose modifiable identity is possible inside a vortex of which we perceive only the begining and which has neither centre nor end".
